Jill Friebele comes to Cen Cal Sports Board of Directors with over 13 years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon and is fellowship trained in pediatric orthopedics. She has special interests in sports related injuries, pediatric trauma, neuromuscular disorders, and congenital and lower extremity deformities.

Jill also specializes in gait analysis and has worked in partnership with Fresno State and their gait analysis lab for assessment of pediatric patients in determination of healthcare interventions and treatment plans. Jill has been a teacher and mentor to numerous students over the years from elementary school aged children through orthopedic residents and is the Director for Orthopedics for the pediatric residency program at Valley Children’s Hospital.

Born and raised in Wisconsin and the surrounding Midwest, Jill moved to Fresno 7 years ago to join the Valley Children’s Hospital orthopedics team. She has also been involved in sports throughout her life and has participated in everything from football and soccer to swimming and water polo. She has worked with youth for over 20 years, initially as a swimming coach and more recently participates as a coach for her sons’ sports including soccer and T-ball.  She has dedicated her life to serving youth as a teacher, mentor, and health care worker and is committed to helping kids be healthy and find their passion in life.

In her free time she enjoys participating in sports and activities with her 2 sons including hiking, running, swimming, obstacle courses, traveling, and many more adventures.
